Q: |
When is the best time to register?
|
|
A:
|
Prior to completing your FAFSA. If
you've already submitted your FAFSA, you will be focused on making sure
it was completed correctly, making corrections if needed, negotiating
your financial aid offers with colleges and making changes during this
year to help you qualify for more financial aid next year.

Q: |
How do I receive your Financial Aid and
Scholarship Guide?
|
|
A:
|
After registering, you will receive your
membership ID# and password in about an hour. You will then
be able to enter the member area. We provide everything
through our web site. This guarantees you will always have
the most recent information (unlike many books in the store that are
out of date as soon as you buy them) and helps make the fee more
affordable for everyone.

Q: |
The FAFSA is free. Why should
I pay you?
|
|
A:
|
Anyone
can do their tax return, legal work, plumbing and car repairs
for free. Your registration fee gives you access to our
experience in helping thousands of families every year. While
FAFSA is an important part of the financial aid process, it is only one
part. We take you through the entire process to help you
maximize your financial aid. Don't learn by your mistakes!

Q: |
I already submitted my FAFSA.
Am I too late?
|
|
A:
|
No. You may have made mistakes on your
FAFSA that need to be corrected and you also want to focus on the
negotiation stage once a financial aid offer is given. You
must submit a new FAFSA every year and should be using the strategies
in our Guide to help you lower your Expected Family Contribution for
next year to qualify for more financial aid.

Q: |
I have more than one child in
college. Should I register them all for your guide?
|
|
A:
|
No. You should only register one
student. If one student in the family is in college and
another student is a high school junior or senior, register the junior
or senior. If more than one student is in college, register
the student that is transferring. If none are transferring,
register either student.

Q: |
Can you guarantee I'll get financial
aid if I register?

rejected for any reason or you do not receive at least 20 times our fee
in scholarships, grants and low interest Stafford loans we will refund

Q: |
Do I have to tell you all my private
financial information?
|
|
A:
|
No. You should never give your
confidential personal and financial information to anyone.
Unlike other companies that have you complete an online FAFSA or have a
clerk interview you on the phone to input your answers onto FAFSA, we
give you clear, simple, line-by-line instructions to enable you to
complete your paper or online FAFSA privately without
mistakes. We don't believe anyone should have access to your
confidential information.

Q: |
Is your guide helpful for Graduate
School?
|
|
A:
|
Yes. Our guide has been primarily
designed for Undergraduate students. Graduate students must
still go through the same FAFSA and negotiation process. The
only difference is the parent's financial information is not needed and
we are not able to provide the financial aid history for colleges on a
Graduate level. You should also be aware there is far less
financial aid available for any type of Graduate school and the odds of
getting financial aid other than loans and fellowships are low.
